**The Opportunity**

As a Senior Assurance Analyst, the role holder is responsible for risk management, compliance frameworks and assurance across Operational Performance. They ensure that annual programmes are captured and maintained throughout the year and that stakeholdersare informed about work timing and sequencing. They deliver assurance against mitigating controls and use outputs to challenge and provide feedback that highlight improvement actions. They carry out analysis and assessments that highlight areas of focus acrossthe risk and assurance universe within both Operational Performance and wider COO team.

They also provide support, training and guidance to stakeholders across the function as required.

**Key accountabilities**
- Promote a positive safety culture through visible proactive, consistent, and influential behaviours
- Keep the company safe by co-operating with others to ensure a co-ordinated approach to promote a clear understanding of each party’s duties, roles and responsibilities for Safety and Wellbeing
- Report all incident, near misses, hazards and taking action as and when necessary to control hazards as appropriate
- Develop and maintain annual assurance and compliance programmes that are delivered in the most effective and efficient manner with the co-operation and understanding of all stakeholders.
- Responsible for collation and quality of assurance outputs and providing feedback and reporting that identifies actions and drives improvement.
- Delivering elements of the assurance programme and ensuring that suitable training and support is in place where assurance is carried out by others.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that the risk register is accurate, and that requirements of the Risk Policy and Assurance Standard are adhered to.
- Work with central teams to ensure that compliance activities are carried out efficiently, to good quality and to deadline.
- Deliver analysis of risk and assurance within Central Operations and wider COO team.
- Support the Risk and Compliance Manager with wider Risk and Compliance Team tasks and activities.

**What you'll bring**
- Highly organised with a strong ability to co-ordinate, engage and influence a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Strong initiative, attention to detail and passion for risk management
- Auditing, risk management or other related qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience of risk management and assurance activities and practices, including documented management systems, control frameworks, auditing, assessments, quality control, data capture and analysis is desirable
- Knowledge and experience of project planning and delivery, including principles, best

practices, etc.
- Knowledge and appreciation of safety, sustainability, and resilience related risks
