Accordingly, there may be a requirement, from time to time, to undertake other duties in an administrative role Principal Responsibilities To provide secretarial support to practice and patients, working under supervision and in accordance with practice protocols and guidelines. Ensure efficient patient service by prompt production of referral letters Following up patients hospital appointments when necessary.
Comply with Access to Medical Records Act by dealing promptly with processing Insurance reports, production of the appropriate invoice, liaising with the clinicians and insurance companies and copying Patient Notes for solicitors etc. Liaise with hospitals and patients regarding appointments. Deal with Access to Record requests from patients and their representatives, as required. Awareness of QOF, Snomed CT codes and alerts needed for standardised care.
Manage the upkeep of GP LINK operations Return of notes and marking notes arrived. Summarising patient notes. Assist with patient recalls for chronic diseases using Ardens. Previous experience using EMIS Web is preferred but not essential.
