Transport Administrator/ Weighbridge Operator

Due to our continued expansion, we are now looking for an experienced Transport Administrator to join our busy team of multiskilled administrators and weighbridge operators? You will work directly under the Planning Manager to help deliver the operational day to day tasks.

This is a varied and challenging role, delivering a first-class service for our customers, on time, every time, you will have a real opportunity to help the company grow and adapt.

The position is 45 hours per week, Mon-Fri with varied hours on a rota basis. Must be fully flexible between our operating hours - early shifts will start at 6.30am and late shifts will finish at 5:45pm. You will also work 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis 07.00am -12.30pm

£22 - £23,950 DOE

**Your duties include**:

- All activities should be 100% customer focused.
- Planning routes and scheduling delivery times for wagon drivers.
- Prioritising skip deliveries appropriately
- Answer sales queries and take bookings both over the phone and online.
- Promote the business by providing excellent customer service.
- Book skip permits with the local councils and check existing permits for expiration dates.
- Address any amendments to customers’ requirements.
- Ensure that regular skip counts are carried out and information used to plan the driver’s workload and schedule.
- Facilitate regular skip counts so we have an accurate picture of the skips in service
- Operating of weighbridge when required, using our software to accurately log all vehicles & weights entering/leaving the site.

**You must be**:

- Educated to Literacy Numeracy Level 2
- IT Literate with Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal communication - demonstrates confidence in their interactions with others
- Attention to Detail - achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved
- Customer Focus - demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customers’ needs in a manner that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume operation

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Transport Administration: 2 years (preferred)
- Weighbridge Operator: 2 years (preferred)
