**Job description**:
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a team within Defence Business Services (DBS) Armed Forces and Veterans Services

The primary job purpose is to support the management of live incidents and issues with the Armed Forces Compensation(AFCS) and War Pensions schemes (WPS) IT systems and to assist with the implementation of change that supports DBS AFVS business.

Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for incident and problem management relating to WPS and AFCS systems and working with the Contractor to identify a solution and report back to the originator.
- Work with the Contractor and Authority in meetings/workshops ensuring that the IT aspects of WPS and AFCS business is represented, defined and understood
- Work with key stakeholders in relation to WPS and AFCS change development. Recording decisions and actions as appropriate, hastening and escalating and distributing to stakeholders.

**Person specification**:
**Essential**:

- Good working knowledge of MS tools (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Excellent Communication skills including being able to effectively communicate to all parties with various degrees of IT experience.
- Good written communication skills

**Desirable**:

- Current knowledge of AFCS and WPS systems and the business.
- Basic knowledge of Agile working practices
- Working with DBS departments and the wider MOD
