This permanent Finance Manager is a newly created position and will play a vital role in this charity’s senior leadership team. You will work closely with the CEO and the Director of Grants and will be heavily involved in crucial business decisions to aidthis organisations growth. This charity provides vital services to the local community and has exciting projects in the pipeline.

Main responsibilities of the Finance Manager will be:

- Assist the CEO with bid development and provide input to key strategic decisions, focusing on the organisation’s growth plans.
- Oversee accounting behind 600-700 grants per year.
- Produce monthly management accounts and lead on statutory reporting.
- Liaise with external funders, project managers and stakeholders providing sound financial advice.
- Analyse and improve the reporting function.
- Ensure project managers understand finance and track expenditures accurately.
- Prepare papers for Trustee and management meetings and present data.
- Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider and carry out reconciliations.
- Attend quarterly finance and investment committee meetings.

- Have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a varied finance role.
- Be a qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Be confident working with stakeholders of all levels.
- Have strong management accounts experience.
- Have experience using Sage.

Please note experience in the not for profit sector is desirable but not essential.
