As a member of the central operations team, this role is responsible for providing essential administrative support for the effective processing of insurance claims,upholding the reputation for excellence in customer service and patient care.

**Duties and responsibilities**

People
- Collaborate in a positive and professional manner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best customer service and patient care whilst adhering to TPV practice procedures.
- Take direction from and liaising with the Central Operations Manager.
- Demonstrate flexibility to share daily tasks and responsibilities amongst the Insurance Administration team.

Operations
- Ensure all tasks are conducted in accordance with TPV Practice Procedures Manual.
- Complete all insurance claim forms.
- Manage direct and non-direct insurance claims, liaising with the client and the insurance company.
- Complete claim tracker to ensure that the status of all insurance claims is always accurate and up to date.
- Complete payment tracker from accountants, ensuring payments are paid off customers’ accounts.
- Manage insurance debt to ensure outstanding payments are made in a timely manner.

Customer
- Deal with customer queries in relation to insurance claims.
- Contact customers to discuss ongoing claims.

Strategic Activity
- Support the Leadership Team in promoting the strategic plan and the values of TPV.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Special projects as agreed with the Managing Director.

**KPIs**
- Value of monthly outstanding insurance debt
- Number of claims processed

**Behaviours**

The post-holder must have strong administration, organisational and time-management skills.

This post holder must be a good verbal and written communicator and be able to work effectively in a team.

The Insurance Administrator must demonstrate good numeracy and be computer-literate.

The role requires a commitment to proactively developing own skills and knowledge.

The Insurance Administrator must adhere to health & safety guidelines.

There is a requirement for the role to undertake other reasonable duties as required.

**Working conditions**

The role is based in a fast-paced environment.

This role is demanding and will be predominately desk based with significant VDU usage.
