Purchasing Administrator

A very successful Hitchin business has created a new permanent **ADMINISTRATION** post to support their Purchasing and Logistics teams.
This immediate opportunity will give you a sociable, interactive job with responsibility and job security. Working in an open plan office amongst a lovely team you will be responsible for the timely ordering and processing of parts, materials, packaging and business consumables.
This is an important role in the company to that will ensure the factory have the right stock available to produce items and that customers receive their good on time.
You will keep a track of lead times to ensure deliveries arrive when needed, keep the business informed of delays and process a variety of administrative tasks.
If you have worked in purchasing or buying admin before this would be a bonus, otherwise just a minimum of 2 years office admin experience where you have gained experience of working to deadlines, talking between departments, working with purchase orders and using computer systems to process work and reports will be valuable.

The job has an early Friday finish and the business closes for Christmas each year.

**Your work will include**:
- Order processing
- Raising purchase orders
- Monitoring lead times on items ordered to ensure they arrive on time
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Maintaining accurate records of suppliers, stock levels and prices
- Creating reports
- Joining in team or company meetings
The job will be office based Monday - Friday.
