**Role Purpose**
The Academic Administrator is responsible for supporting with the administrative and organisational processes within the college. They will also act as a point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders so will be an ambassador for the college and embody the value, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Update manual and computerised record/information systems
- Update and maintain the college calendar
- Manage and organise completed forms from parents
- Report any issues with the college’s IT systems
- Provide administrative support to staff as needed
- Book training courses for all staff
- Order, monitor and manage stock, ensuring best value following the school’s purchasing processes
- Carry out filing, printing and photocopying. Maintain the operation of the printer and photocopier to ensure it’s ready to use at all times, resolving any issues as necessary
- Assist with organising parents’ evenings and other meetings and events, including the organisation of rooms and equipment, and providing refreshments as required
- Keep records in accordance with the college’s record retention schedule and data protection law, ensuring information security and confidentiality at all times
- Monitor and maintain an accurate record of pupil attendance, producing reports as necessary
- Monitor the late arrival of pupils and contact parents/carers to identify reasons for non-attendance, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed
- To attend, take and write up Minutes of all academic committee meetings.
- Manage the diaries including scheduling appointments, ensuring meetings are held
- on time and the diaries are organised to allow appropriate preparation time
- Maintain office systems including data management in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

**Safeguarding and Student Care**

We must collectively create an environment where students feel safe to learn and grow. Students should feel comfortable in their surroundings and know that they can approach any responsible adult with any problems or concerns. All staff must be able to identify any students who are at risk of harm, and know the characteristics of abuse or neglect. If you suspect or confirm harm then it’s essential you know what actions to take.
Annual safeguarding training is provided to staff and it is the staff member’s responsibility to be aware of the most up to date guidance documented in the Keeping Children Safe in Education document (Department of Education).

GCSE - English and Maths Level 4 (grade C)
**Experience**
Carrying out administrative tasks
Dealing with face-to-face and telephone interactions
Working and collaborating within a team
Experience of meeting and working to tight deadlines
Experience of monitoring targets with others and taking appropriate action when targets are not being met.
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage own time and prioritise work to meet demanding deadlines.
Ability to respond flexibly and creatively to new challenges and opportunities.
First aid qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Previous experience of working with MIS
Working with students or young people

Part-time hours: 25-30 per week
**Salary**: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
