We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Timetable and Resource Planner. The Timetable and Resource Planner is responsible for the detailed preparation of the permanent timetable and the development of rolling stock and train crew diagrams. The role will implement train plans, bid these to Network Rail and produce underpinning resource plans for sharing with the wider business, working closely with the Timetable Strategy Manager, Lead LTP Planner and Commercial Timetable Manager to ensure these are high performing, compliant, accurate, efficient and deliver to revenue targets

**The Timetable and Resource Planner will also**:

- Produce timetables (that conform to the Engineering Access Statement/Timetable Planning Rules) that take into account route availability, the franchise-specified Train Service Requirement and other long-term planning requirements in accordance
- with laid down industry timescales
- Implement train plans from a commercial specification to deliver the optimum service plan
- Produce rolling stock diagrams within agreed parameters set with the Fleet team that balance across the day/week
- Produce train crew diagrams within agreed planning rules and in accordance with agreed conditions of service. This also includes the production of job cards where these are required
- Upload, circulate and publish timetables in accordance with company processes and systems
- Provide operational documentation, briefing documents and summary documents to support other parts of the business with their understanding of permanent timetable plans
- Liaise with Network Rail and other operators as necessary to optimise timetable plans.
- Support the Amended Access and Timetable Information teams during the course of each calendar year to address peaks and troughs in the overall workload of the team.

**About you**:
You will be a motivated team player with a flexible and supportive approach to your work. You will also possess excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to tight timescales in a sometimes pressurised environment. You will have strong communication skills and the desire to build excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Some knowledge of rail operations and EMR's network geography will be highly beneficial in this role. It would also be preferential to have strong IT skills that will enable you to learn internal systems such as Voyagerplan.
