A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the area of theoretical quantum computation and information is available at the University of Warwick. The position is a fixed term contract for 2 years, available in connection with an EPSRC New Horizons project led by Drs Tom Gur (Warwick Computer Science) and Animesh Datta (Warwick Physics) and. The research project is a collaboration between the departments of Computer Science and Physics at the University of Warwick, aimed at developing efficient property testing algorithms for quantum channels.
If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure (£31,411). Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£32,348).

**JOB PURPOSE**
To undertake cutting-edge research in theoretical quantum computation and information.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Conducting high-quality research in theoretical quantum computation and information, and publishing results in leading international conferences and journals.
2. Attending and presenting research findings and papers at top conferences in theoretical
computer science.
3. Assisting in the organisation of research meetings/workshops in the areas relevant to the project.
4. Contributing fully to the departmental research activities.
