Job Introduction
As an Apprentice Administrator, you will make a difference to service users by providing excellent customer service and providing full and comprehensive administrative support to the Community Neuro and Stroke team.

You will be based at St. Martin’s Hospital where we provide rehabilitation in the community for people following acute stroke and for people with long term neurological conditions requiring intensive support.

Main Responsibilities
You will provide a central point of communication for all patients and clinical staff to really make our service users and staff feel the difference. Your days will be busy and varied and include:

- Arranging patient appointments
- To liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide a quality service for the patients
- To prepare for clinics, finding and printing relevant notes from relevant computer systems:referral letters, test results and any other information that may be relevant to the patient’s consultation.
- To deal with daily incoming correspondence from GPs and other hospitals regarding patient care using own initiative as appropriate.
- To work as part of a team sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the service.

Package Description
As an Apprentice Administrator, you will complete a Customer Service qualification to deliver high quality customer service to service users. To support you along your journey to completing the programme, you will have monthly learning days with weekly study time to develop your knowledge and skills.

You will have a dedicated assessor who will support you throughout your journey and help and support you during your time as an apprentice. You will also have a work mentor who works in your department to support you throughout your apprenticeship and help you settle into your new role.

We also offer the care certificate to all our unregistered health care professionals. This is the start of your education and training with us and forms part of a robust induction programme giving you the fundamental evidence-based training to support you in your role with us.
