**People Services Apprentice**

If you’re looking to build the foundations of your HR career, then this is the opportunity for you Join our People Services team and you’ll have the opportunity to gain significant experience and learning opportunities in a transformational and developing People Services department which will help towards a future role.

With the appropriate on the job training, supervision and guidance, the People Services Apprentice will develop their skillset throughout the duration of their contract and will be exposed to more areas of HR as they learn and progress through their apprenticeship.

This role has a wide remit which includes providing generalist HR administration support and is an important support role to not only the People Services department but the business as a whole.

Your typical day will involve:

- Being the first line response to all queries into the department and provide basic advice where appropriate
- Supporting employees and managers across the business with basic queries on policies and procedures
- Supporting the People Services Assistants with the administration of the employee lifecycle and people related administration (i.e., new starter processes including probation reviews, referencing and reference letters, RTW checks etc.)
- Data entry - inputting and maintaining employee details onto the HR database
- Support Learning and Development events, including room bookings, catering, and administration
- Understanding how best to assist the People Services team, services and function including day-to-day tasks acting as an effective team member providing assistance to others as requested
- We are committed to training and developing our staff and so, there will be opportunities to get involved with project and case work to support the People Services team

The role:

- This is a fixed-term role, learning the ins and outs of HR while completing a CIPD/HR apprenticeship course
- This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday 40-hours per week
- Hybrid working will be considered
