**HR & Learning & Development Assistant**

Dawsongroup is a privately owned group of companies specialising in commercial asset rental and sales, operating from a network of strategically positioned depots across the UK.

We are looking for a **HR and Learning & Development Assistant** to join our People & Recruitment team, based at our Head Office in Tongwell, Milton Keynes.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is CIPD qualified, looking to advance their career in HR with a focus on L&D. Reporting directly to the Senior People Services Advisor, you will be responsible for the effective administrative delivery of the generalist HR function as well designing, creating and delivering L&D solutions across the organisation at every level.

**Duties will include**:
**_ Generalist_**
- Being the first point of contact to support managers and colleagues
- Providing advice on general HR related queries, Company policies and legislation
- Managing the shared department inbox
- Administration of the full employee lifecycle

**_L&D_**
- Providing a reliable point of contact for all Company L&D matters
- Identifying training and development needs through the annual appraisal process
- Design and deliver training to a range of different audiences, creating and maintaining specified in-house training programmes
- Supporting the UK business in the national recruitment of all apprentices

**To be successful you will**:

- Be CIPD qualified and have basic experience in the field of L&D
- Have proven training/facilitation skills
- Have previous experience working in a HR role
- Have a general understanding of HR legislation
- Be willing to take on administrative tasks
- Be a skilled user of Microsoft Office and proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft correspondence independently and courteously
- Possess the ability to exercise absolute discretion and maintain strict confidentiality

This role will require occasional travel to our depots around the UK, therefore a full, valid UK driving licence is required.
