This is an exciting opportunity to work for an Outstanding Children's Home Provider. Previous experience working in a senior position in a Residential Children's Home is essential. We appreciate that joining an established residential home as a senior support worker may be daunting. To ensure you are fully supported as a new senior, we have the following in place; - Comprehensive induction, including shadow shifts - Specific senior training - Monthly clinical supervision - Fortnightly management supervision during probationary period - Specific development supervision once a month To support you to progress in your senior position we provide the following; - Opportunity to gain the Level 5 qualification - Therapeutic Training - Supervisory experience - Championing projects within the home Application forms will be provided to individual CVs who satisfy the initial requirements. We are a compassionate organisation committed to providing exceptional residential childcare for young people between the ages of 7-14 who display emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour. We are seeking dedicated people to join our team and work alongside our young people. We pay the hourly rate throughout the night and annual holiday entitlement is 245 hours which is 21 hours above statutory. Overtime available at enhanced rate. **Essential Attributes and Skills**: - Be resilient and dedicated to achieving excellent outcomes - Understand the importance of a trauma informed approach - Have the ability to motivate and direct the care team to achieve great outcomes for our young people - To have the capacity to use initiative and understand how to effectively implement the quality standards set out in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 - Compassion, patience, resilience and empathy - Have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable looked after children and young people - Ability to learn and develop new skills - Have good written and communication skills - Proven organisational skills and have the ability to work under supervision and unsupervised - Have the ability to remain calm under pressure and in stressful environments - Ability to engage effectively with children and young people - Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to form good working relationships with colleagues and external professionals - Proven ability to work effectively in a team - Computer literate - Proven ability of excellent listening skills - Partake enthusiastically in activities with the young people - with a proven ability of understanding the varying needs of young people and how you will work with the team to meet these - A desire to strive for the best outcomes for the young people and the company - Be willing to partake in any training as instructed by the home - At least one years’ experience working in Residential Childcare - Hold a full UK manual driving license **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: £35,500.00-£37,500.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - Discounted or free food - Employee discount - Health & wellbeing programme - On-site parking - Store discount **Education**: - GCSE o
