As an Event coordinator at The Light you will be managing, developing and executing a diverse range of events to the highest standard through excellent organisational skills, innovation and creativity. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody looking to move to a career in events management.
No previous events experience necessary; full support and training will be offered. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar customer-facing role with knowledge of hospitality.

We are an expanding chain with a nationwide footprint, offering both mainstream and independent films. We were voted as one of the fastest growing companies in 2018 and aspire to become the best cinema in the UK. Our aim is to develop and contribute towards the revolution of the cinema industry by providing a unique experience through the incorporation of F&B concessions alongside the traditional popcorn stand. This includes a bar stocked with fine wines and local beers as well as locally sourced, fresh food. In addition to traditional screenings, we also host special events including cocktail nights, live music and costume parties.

**What the role involves**:

- Creating event proposals and presenting proposals by deadline
- Reactive sales - seeing enquiries through from initial enquiry, having full understanding of clients needs and requirements, presenting proposal, converting and sending out legal documents
- Demonstrating to client strong product knowledge of venues and our unique offering.
- Conducting site visits when required.
- Issuing invoices and collecting payment in a timely manner.
- Managing and overseeing events on the day when required.
- Planning multiple events for multiple sites.
- Create sales opportunities for future events during client interactions and building rapport to ensure retention if business at venues.

**What we are looking for**:

- Excellent organization
- Event planning experience benefit but not required
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Being able to communicate clearly with all depts to ensure clients needs and requirements are executed on the day
- Strong time management
- High attention to detail
- Experience in sales preferred
- Flexibility
- A real people person - enjoys interacting with people and delivering first class customer service.

The role would be minimum 20 hours per week, being able to flex to 30 in busy periods (Nov & Dec). It will be predominately homebased however you would be expected to come to site at least once a week.
