**Job introduction**:
The National Referral Mechanism, as set out by the Home Office, is the UK’s framework for identifying and supporting victims of modern slavery. Brighton and Hove along with East Sussex are developing a pilot in order to develop approaches on decision-making concerning children who have been identified as victims of modern slavery and exploitation.

This post will support and facilitate the decision making panel in relation to this. The purpose of the NRM Child Decision-Making Panel is to facilitate multi-agency decision-making that is appropriate, timely and ensures that children known to the panel are safeguarded.

Brighton & Hove City Council is participating in a pilot to trial a new process to support this decision making and to hold this within the local authority. The postholder will help to coordinate the NRM Child Decision Making Panel in Brighton & Hove. Working with management support, the post holder will ensure work is delivered within statutory guidelines, to the highest standards of service delivery, and is aligned to the best practice in areas of specialism.

**About the role**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic well organised individual to support this exciting new pilot. The successful post holder will be given training to enable them to facilitate the newly established local National Referral Mechanism Decision making Panel in Brighton and Hove.

**Additional information**:
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
