Tenancy Support Officer

Role will be hybrid - based working from home for administrative tasks, with a requirement to visit the 27 properties under IHL management in the local area on a regular basis. The 27 properties are based in Gloucester, Cheltenham, 1 scheme in Worcester and 7 schemes in Cornwall. The Cornwall properties only require a visit twice per month and telephone contact throughout the other periods. Hotel overnight accommodation will be provided if requested.

- Works closely with local authorities and other relevant commissioners, such as the NHS.

- Operates successfully in a number of national locations.
- Role will be hybrid - based working from home for administrative tasks, with a requirement to visit the 20 properties under IHL management in the local area on a regular basis. The 20 properties are based in Gloucester, Cheltenham and 1 scheme in Worcester.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To ensure that all housing management functions, including voids and lettings, rent and service charge arrears, anti-social behaviour and other tenancy breaches, health and safety and fire checks, and repairs and maintenance are carried out to a high standard and in a timely fashion.
- To facilitate property access for contractors as required.
- Carry out property condition reports and inventories.
- To ensure that properties are ready to let as soon as possible after they are void.
- Schedule tenancy related support visits to our clients and partners, working within a person centred approach.
- Ensure that safeguarding’s, incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and responded to appropriately.
- To be a point of contact for, and promote positive relationships within local communities and with our Care Provider partners.
- Work alongside the Compliance and Maintenance Officer to ensure that all responsive repairs are completed, and that properties are maintained to a high standard.
- Ensure that any health and safety concerns are addressed immediately.
- To carry out housing management functions in line with contracts / SLA’s / partnership agreements.
- To ensure that sign ups are completed at the earliest opportunity and that all associated paperwork is completed and returned to the relevant teams.
- To participate in stakeholder meetings providing feedback to teams and other managers as appropriate.
- To ensure that all paperwork relating to Housing Benefit claims is completed either at sign up, or at the earliest opportunity afterwards. To report to the Finance team any concerns with Housing Benefit claims.
- You will need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business cover.
- DBS checks are required for roles where you will be working with or have lone contact with Vulnerable Adults
