People Advisor

Our People function plays an integral part in supporting the businesses' People Strategy and offers professional HR support and guidance across the UK.

As the People Adviser, you will get actively involved in helping to resolve all Employee Relations queries, and once you settle in you will be developed in the role to grow your HR generalist skills. We are looking for an HR Adviser with at least one years’experience who is ready to take the next step in their career and move to a fantastic fast paced environment. We’d be looking for experience in managing standard employee relations cases effectively.

You will support the People Team by dealing with day-to-day management of queries that come into the inbox and be the main point of contact for all HR queries. You may be required to give initial guidance to mangers and colleagues and deliver a fantasticoperational service to our agile operational teams.

There will also be exciting opportunities to support and work on various People projects, supporting our active Employee Engagement Programmes, as well as the potential to complete your ongoing development with support for professional qualifications throughour Apprenticeship Levy, where eligible.

**Role**: People Advisor

**Working hours**: 37.5 hours per week, 9:00-5:30pm Monday to Friday

**Salary**: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

**What you will be doing**:

- Be first point of contact for all People Team queries and manage the People Team inbox
- Triage queries to the most appropriate member of the HR Team
- Support the People Team with administrative duties such as letters and taking of minutes in meetings
- Ensure all colleague records are maintained and up to date
- Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, ensuring that good practice is followed consistently
- Liaise with the relevant Occupational Health provider as well as line managers
- Provide support to the People Manager & wider team where needed
- Assist in the delivery the Human Resource Strategy.
- Resilient and comfortable with challenging the status quo.
- HR Project work

**What we’re looking for**:

- Qualifications - Essential - CIPD L5
- Experienced around the required CIPD Standards at Foundation Level as outlined in the Professions Map 2021 for:

- Values
- Core Knowledge
- Core Behaviours
- Specialisms
- Strong HR generalist experience
- Experience in high volume case management, including remote case management
- Experience in coaching and supporting both new and experienced line managers
- Experience in using HR systems such as PeopleHR, Dayforce or others
- Experienced in the use of Office 365
