My client is a well-established manufacturer of products to the beverage sector based in Rotherham. Due to an uptake in work, they are seeking a CIPD level 5 HR Advisor to work on either a full time OR part time basis (30 hours a week if part time). This is office hours based on site and with 1/5 days an early start; in addition to the following responsibilities:

- To provide HR support and advice to employees and line managers where appropriate, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner (escalating matters as required)
- Accurately produce, in a timely manner, all information required by the Head of HR for the HR Monthly Report
- Assist the Head of HR in the development of HR policies and procedures
- Recruitment - preparing job descriptions and job ad’s, advertising, pre-screening, interviewing and supporting line managers through the process
- Manage the new starter process from offer letter and contract through to joining instructions and induction (organisation and delivery), including liaison with payroll and other relevant departments
- Ensure all pre-employment checks and employment references are carried out fully and in a timely manner for new employees
- Administer the performance management and probationary review system, flagging up areas of concern
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for employee changes, including liaison with payroll and other relevant departments, in a timely manner and chase outstanding returns to completion
- Manage the leaver administration & paperwork process (liaison with payroll & other relevant departments as required), including exit interviews and analysis of leaver information on a monthly basis
- Co-ordination and minute taking of Union meetings, providing meeting minutes to all attendees after approval
- Short and long-term absence management and administration - including liaison with payroll, relevant departments and occupational health
- Management of the onsite periodic colleague health reviews with occupational health
- Logging return to work interviews and analysing the information to help reduce absence on a monthly basis
- Analysis of trigger points for absence reviews (advising appropriate line managers at 2nd trigger, 3rd trigger and further triggers as appropriate), managing the absence management system including supporting the investigation and absence review meetings process with the appropriate manager
- To review all HR related administrative processes with a view to creating efficient work flows using IT to support the process. Creating a ‘How To’ of all HR process
- Support the Head of HR in managing training initiatives
- Investigate, book and manage all training requirements for the Company following the ‘training process’ to completion (including liaison with the Glass Academy for funding support where appropriate)
- To maintain an accurate and up-to-date filing system (soft and hard copy)
- Ensure the Training database and paperwork are kept up to date in an easy to access format
- Ad-hoc project work as agreed with Head of HR
- HR administration duties
- Any other reasonable duties as requested
