We are an institution called Synthesis, looking to appoint part-time Facilitators (3-11 hours per week) interested in helping some of the smartest kids on the planet learn the collaborative, problem-solving skills that they will need to unlock the opportunitiesand solve the challenges their generation will inevitably encounter. The work is quite simply, life changing, as you watch the kids grow together as a team, and then leap up the learning curve together. **Key Responsibilities**: The key responsibilities of a Facilitator include, but are not limited to: - Facilitate discussions about both the game play and the collaboration amongst the students. - Foster a dynamic and constructive environment that encourages every student to share their voice. - Communicate effectively with families about the progress of each student. - Participate in company meetings and share your ideas about how we can improve. **The Company** Co-founder Josh Dahn - "Six years ago, Elon Musk asked me to start an experimental school with him at SpaceX. The goal was to develop students who are enthralled by complexity and solving for the unknown." Synthesis is the most innovative learning experience from that school. It is designed to cultivate student voice, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem solving. I believe Synthesis builds these skills like no other education experience. Until recently, Synthesis was only available to a handful of SpaceX families. Today, our community is worldwide and growing quickly. Excited for you to be a part of it. **The Person** The key skills and qualities of a Facilitator: - Comfortable stepping back and allowing the students to help each other make sense of a problem and experiment with their own solutions. - Asks open-ended questions to encourage student participation and critical thinking. - Willing to receive extensive training on utilizing virtual learning tools and the software platforms created by Synthesis
