**Job Summary**
**Job Title**: Lead Facilitator - Science Workshops

**Location**: Various workshop locations (e.g., schools, community centers)

**Employment Type**: Part-time/Contract

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Lead Facilitator to guide our engaging science workshops. As the Lead Facilitator, you will be responsible for the overall delivery and flow of the workshop. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about science education, enjoys working with children, and can lead with confidence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the entire science workshop, including opening and closing sessions.
- Clearly communicate the workshop’s learning objectives and activities to participants.
- Supervise Station Facilitators and ensure they are equipped with the necessary materials and instructions.
- Manage transitions between carousel stations, ensuring the workshop runs smoothly.
- Provide an engaging and interactive experience for all participants, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for science.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to.
- Address any questions or issues participants may have, providing guidance where needed.
- Evaluate workshop success and collect participant feedback.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or a related field.
- Experience in leading group activities, ideally in a workshop or educational setting.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and keep activities running according to schedule.
- Experience working with children aged 5-11.
- Passion for science and making learning fun and accessible.
- Ability to adapt activities to suit different learning styles and needs.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Background in STEM education.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- First Aid certification.

**Work Environment**:

- You will be working in various locations, which may include schools, community centers, and festivals.
- The role may require light lifting of workshop materials and standing for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract, Graduate, Volunteer

Pay: £16.00 per hour
