HR Administrator

ACS International Schools is looking for an HR Administrator to join our team based in Hillingdon. The purpose of the role is to provide HR administration support to all UK managers and staff, in a timely, efficient, confidential, compliant and customer-focused manner. This role will also ensure ACS is compliant with UK employment and ISI regulations.
Key Duties:
- Ensure the accurate and timely updating of the HR information system and the Single Central Register, including all changes of employee personal information, salary changes, benefits
- Ensure information is legally compliant and up to date
- Ensure efficient, accurate and timely administration for monthly UK payroll
- Process and monitor security clearance checks including Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks, international overseas police checks, reference checks and documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Ensure day-to-day pension and benefit administration is processed
- Prepare and issue letters and employment paperwork
- Process home leave and relocation claims
- Ensure files are always kept up to date and reflects the SCR information
- Support the HR Advisors with absence and maternity processes
- Support employee relations matters as required, e.g. disciplinary and grievance issues and is a note taker for formal meetings
- Work with the wider HR team and helps ensure that the annual pay review is administered effectively.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience of working in an administration role and/ or support function in a multi-functional, customer focused environment
- Previous experience working in a busy HR team in the education sector is desirable
- Team player with excellent customer service skills and helpful approach
- Professional manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Numerate with good attention to detail and excellent administration skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Able to prioritise competing and varied demands
- Pro-active approach with a flexible nature and co-operative and willing attitude
- Computer literate with the ability to use MAC/ Windows package and HR database systems
- Respects and adheres to confidentiality and data protection
- Looks for opportunities to develop level of expertise and capability
- Able to work autonomously when required but also collaboratively across the HR Team
- CIPD qualified/part-qualified or equivalent is desirable but not essential
- Good knowledge of employment law is desirable.
The role is part time 17.5 hours per week at ACS Hillingdon. Occasional travel to other UK campuses as required
Salary range: £11.5k - £12.5k (£23k - £25k FTE)
