At HMRC we are committed to creating a great place to work for all our colleagues; an inclusive and respectful environment that reflects the diversity of the society we serve.

We want to maximise the potential of everyone who chooses to work for us and we offer a range of flexible working patterns and support to make a fulfilling career at HMRC accessible to you.

HMRC is building a modern, digital tax administration and runs the biggest digital operation in Government, following the Chancellor’s latest strategy. Our digital Programme is multi-award winning and the envy of other government organisations.

This is an exciting time to join an organisation that probably does not work how you would imagine a government organisation would.

We are undergoing a major transformation programme, which includes a major investment in digitisation. This means customers can do more for themselves online, in real time, on computers, tablets and smartphones therefore we are building a team of outstanding people who will create and run these new and improved technology services.

Chief Digital and Information Office (CDIO) set the technology direction for HMRC and deliver the high-level design for all IT solutions. We are responsible for building and running HMRC IT services along with providing IT change and operational support.

The Borders and Trade Delivery Group are responsible for the end-to-end service management and development of over 140 separate services from the generation of Trade Statistics, to the administration of Customs and Excise duties

**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our CDIO Borders and Trade Group, where you will be supporting a large scale and radical change Portfolio that will have a profound impact for both our customers and our staff. The services we provide are essential to the effective delivery of Programmes and Projects right across a very diverse and complex Portfolio with some very challenging deliveries.

**The Team**:
This role covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the wider programme's business objectives; the role enables the smooth running of the Programme/Project by supporting the Delivery Teams through the operation of programme management processes, and the co-ordination of governance and assurance activities on their behalf.

You will play an integral role in the team, often managing multiple tasks simultaneously and ensuring operations run smoothly. It is a very busy area with a large stakeholder base across multiple internal teams and external suppliers.

This role will bring new tasks and challenges and you need to be adaptable to change to support our Continuous Improvement ethos.

You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of your own workload, working closely alongside colleagues.

There are a number of roles across the Directorate Services Team and you could be working to a specific Programme Management discipline or supporting embedded support colleagues in a Programme/Project of work or you could be working within the Workforce and Finance Services team, who are responsible for all resource and supplier management.

**Responsibilities**

Key responsibilities could include, but not limited to:

- Administration - scheduling meetings and setting agendas for the team. Attend meetings to take meeting notes and record action points and ensure these are distributed in a timely manner.
- Team Support - support the wider team with numerous ad hoc commissions.
- Data management - accurately recording and maintaining data on a range of metrics and using these to report information in a timely manner.
- Responsible for keeping SharePoint folders up-to-date and for filing electronic documentation to maintain our audit trail.
- Stakeholder management - there will be frequent contact with internal/external stakeholders at all levels of the Organisation.
- Monitoring & reporting - assisting the rest of the team with updates and processing of project information. Regular dashboard and status report updates.
