**Overview of the Role**
The postholder will undertake a range of critical administrative, analysis, implementation and reporting activities to support the organisation’s Project and Programme Managers to develop and deliver projects that enable HI NENC to achieve its strategic goals and objectives. Reporting directly to the Associate Director - Project Management Office, the postholder will also have a reporting line into the Project and Programme Managers they are assigned to support.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
**General**
- Contributing to supporting the development and implementation of the new Innovation pathway/OMNIA system to ensure that relevant project data is captured and evidenced. - Providing administrative support to a number of allocated HI NENC projects and programmes of work, to include the monitoring of and reporting on project progress, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans. - Updating and collating any relevant documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure project delivery complies with agreed project management methodology. - Undertaking basic research and analysis on assigned projects and contribute to the preparation of project briefs and PIDs to support informed decision making and planning via the Project Steering Groups and Programme Boards. - Assisting the project team to implement project plans ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved. - Providing a range of secretariat services, including scheduling, coordinating and attending meetings, preparing agendas and papers, minute and note taking, arranging travel and accommodation where appropriate, and any other administrative activities required to support project delivery. - Where necessary co-ordinating and facilitating preparation and execution of the legal agreements needed to support projects, and manage the approval and payment of related invoices, or receipt of funding. - Supporting the preparation and submission of the Quarterly Assurance Reporting process - Supporting the preparation and co-ordination of any tenders launched via the Dynamic Purchasing System as part of the HI NENC Procurement process - Keeping all project and team folders in the shared area up to date. File any new documents received and thus assisting and maintaining effective and efficient filing structures and systems, both electronic and physical - Working collaboratively and flexibly on a daily basis with the other project support officers where appropriate, providing support, covering absence and mentoring each other when required. - Working alongside project leads to ensure that relevant project data is captured and evidenced, to demonstrate the return on investment for HI NENC. - Identifying and escalating any issues to their line manager.

Essential - Excellent organisation and communication skills. - Basic knowledge of the processes and procedures involved in project management.
**Skills and Experience**
**Essential**
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and use of video conferencing. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the preparation of presentations. - Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple tasks, ensuring the effective delivery of projects within the Work Programme. - Ability to work well both independently and as a member of the wider HI NENC Team. - Good analytical / troubleshooting skills. Other Essential - A positive, approachable, and supportive attitude, as well as the ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with others. - A high level of self-motivation, with the ability to also work as a part of a wider team. - Ability to work towards and meet strict deadlines. - Ability to balance, prioritise and progress multiple tasks. - Key focus on customer service and user requirements. - An awareness of confidentiality and data protection.
