Job Introduction
This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

As our Apprentice HRSS Administrator you will be working within the HR Shared Services department. You will be providing a professional service and support to the wider business and its employees. You will be working closely with our team, who will support you as you learn about HR practices. You will report directly into our Senior HR Advisor, who will be helping and encouraging you to develop your skills and knowledge.

This is an important position in our business, and we’ll need to you demonstrate a professional and confidential approach, as the work you will be doing will often involve handling sensitive personal data.

You will be given a key support network in the form of a line manager, a buddy and a designated Early Careers contact, who will all have regularly catch ups with you to support you throughout your apprenticeship. We will also give you the time you need to work through your Apprenticeship and if we can help in any way, we will.

Main Responsibilities
- Process, record and monitor Right to Work and DBS checks for all employees.
- Manage the shared mailbox answering queries or forward onto the relevant department.
- Production of daily and weekly reports.
- Process, record and monitor all reference request for new employees within the business
- Provide support to the wider HR Shared Services Team
- Control vacancy requests in-line with budget headcount and that correct authorisation has been received to recruit new starters
- Set up new starters ensuring they’ve completed all Onboarding
- Scanning, filing, replying to correspondence and other general office administration duties
- Strong computer and IT skills
- Attention to detail
- Confident communication skills both verbal and written
- Self-motivated to be able to work from home when required
- Able to manage and organise own workload effectively
- Ability to work well as part of a team even when working remotely
- Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced, busy environment
- Works well under pressure
