Main Responsibilities:

- Total ownership of operations, which includes manufacturing finished goods, people, inventory, logistics, and procurement.
- Lead the development of current processes and the ERP, whilst motivating staff to ensure good quality, on-time delivery, high margins, and excellent customer service on every order.
- Build and leverage strong working relationships with suppliers will be key to ensuring that we receive the best service, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery.
- Identifying and developing new suppliers as part of your supply chain risk review will prepare the business for further growth.
- As the business develops, integrating other systems including a CRM and E-Commerce store will be required.
- Lead the health and safety activities of the business to ensure safe working practices and adherence to all current relevant legislation and best practice.
- Provide management and leadership to a small team of permanent employees and an outworking team.
- Work closely with your peers and the Managing Director to contribute to the planned growth of the business.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Must be comfortable being hands-on in an SME, leading from the front and making decisions.
- Experienced with the use of MRP/ERP and being systems/data led in your approach.
- Experience in LEAN and process mapping would be preferred.
- Understanding the process for importing and exporting materials would be beneficial.
- A working technical knowledge of production machines and processes would be valuable
- A minimum of HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering or manufacturing would be ideal although not essential.
- Supervisory level and/or management training
- LEAN tools and techniques - courses and/or qualification to green/black belt level
- Health and Safety courses or ideally NEBOSH qualified ideally
- First aider trained ideally

Additional Information:

- Please note this is a full-time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 09.00 - 5.30 pm.
- 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and Birthday off
- Team-based performance bonus (10% of salary)
- Quarterly, annual socials and free lunch once a week.
