You'll be working within our client's specialist business division, partnering Directors of 3 small businesses, and supporting a headcount of 200-250. You will be tasked with leading on, and influencing, the areas that you'd expect any good business partnerto be involved in - employee engagement, talent, change and project management, culture and capability. Your time spent in each of these areas will fluctuate over time - directed by the business need and where the priorities are identified.
Initially though, you can expect to be helping one of the key business areas develop new behaviours and manage change as they shift their operating model away from product sales to service sales - this project alone will see you assessing training needs, helpingestablish new measures for assessing performance but also looking at attraction and retention of colleagues as they shift towards new ways of working and an adjusted culture. Part of this project is likely to be built around assessing the suitability of thereward offering, so you may well be getting stuck into developing the reward offering for certain job roles pretty quickly in post.
The business are also in the process of implementing a new HR & ER Service team so you will need to influence key business figures to promote new ways of working and drive engagement with the service. This, and you will need to work closely with the serviceteam to aid their acceleration to optimum functioning and to keep on top of trends within your business areas (and implement initiatives to solve root cause problems).

You'll need to be a generalist HR professional at Business Partner or Senior Advisor level and with a demonstrable proactive nature. Exposure to and a hand in delivering projects previously is essential, whatever size or scale. Critical to this role is theability to influence and shape the HR agenda for your client areas. This role will be autonomous, with the guidance and mentoring of the Senior HRBP, so you will need to be hungry to build relationships and demonstrate your own credibility.
