We are looking for 2 undergraduates or graduates to join our People Team on a 12-month internship based in Colwick Nottingham. You will get to experience working on all aspects of the employee lifecycle so the internships are therefore ideally suited toan undergraduate or a recent graduate in a business, psychology or any other HR related discipline with an interest in progressing your career within HR.

As HR intern you will be working in one of the following areas:
**People Services - business partnering**

As our People Services intern you will be working with our Business Partner for Operations and our wider People team to partner our leaders, key stakeholders and colleagues to shape, develop and deliver our HR plans so great team working skills are essential.

You will be the first point of contact for HR advice and support which means you will need to demonstrate great communication and problem-solving skills. This will involve directing managers and colleagues to appropriate guidance channels and escalatingmore complex matters to the Business Partner. To be successful you will also build relationships with stakeholders, therefore you will ideally have good influencing and coaching skills.

Working as a People Services intern you will grow your knowledge of Employment Law as you support the Business Partner in handling complex Employee Relations cases to ensure the risk of litigation to the business is minimised. You will support with the preparationof HR-related reports and you will proactively monitor absences ensuring appropriate action is taken where needed. This will require an attention to detail as you ensure matters are dealt with in line with Company policies, procedures, employment legislationand best practice.

**Talent and Organisation Development**

An attention to detail is key because you will be responsible for collating data, keeping accurate records, and reporting on our key performance indicators, looking for opportunity to develop the way in which we report on talent related activity and trends.You will therefore be confident in using Microsoft Office packages as you’ll be using these daily.

Team working is essential as you will be supporting the Talent team with organising and running events such as our Learning and Development workshops, and Employability Events at schools and universities. You will also provide administrative support to theteam by managing our Applicant Tracking System, our Learning Management System, and other databases. As your internship progresses you will get involved in the recruitment and selection process in order to grow your skills and understanding of the recruitmentmarket.

Our HR internships offer a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate or a recent graduate to get a true picture of the world of Human Resources as you will get involved in projects the drive the delivery of HR initiatives and objectives. Both interns willalso be given the opportunity to shadow colleagues across the team to grow your skills and understanding of HR. Excellent time management skills will therefore be required to ensure you meet deadlines whilst gaining personal development from your internship.
