**Main Purpose of the role**

This role sits within the Global Business Services (GBS) Process, Risk and Governance Team is responsible for undertaking activities to ensure that all risk, governance, and regulatory compliance activities across Procurement are being undertaken in accordance with the defined internal policy, legal or regulatory requirements (FCA).

**Key Accountabilities of the role**
- Facilitating the administration of Centrica Business Solutions (CBS) Contractor onboarding from request to re assessment
- Ensuring all operational governance and regulatory compliance activities have been identified, documented, and continue to be maintained considering any required changes
- Identifying any new operational governance or regulatory compliance requirements that need to be supported/implemented within CBS and supporting through to completion
- Supporting the delivery of any Procurement related operational governance or regulatory compliance projects/initiatives providing SME (Subject Matter Expert) input where appropriate
- Owning and operating key operational governance and regulatory compliance activities as delegated by the GBS Process, Risk and Governance Manager.
- Identification of areas for improvement in the operation of Procurement operational governance and regulatory compliance activities

**Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills required**
- Good knowledge and experience working in a systems, process, or operational compliance environment, ideally within a GBS/Procurement environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
- Experience working within a team undertaking governance and process improvement activities

**Key Competencies**/**Core Capabilities required to perform the role**
- Proven experience of operating governance and/or regulatory compliance activities
- Functionally IT literate with an ability to communicate effectively with IT professionals
- Able to plan and organise the work of themselves and others to ensure the achievement of targets and outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage with others
- Strong written and verbal skills and attention to detail
- Possess good creative skills and make suggestions for improvement
- Able to work under pressure and to constantly changing deadlines, pro-active and self-motivated
