Quantity Surveyor

**Role: 2X Quantity Surveyor**

**Location: Windsor**

**Duration: 6 months contract +**

**Day rate: £400 - £450 per day (Umbrella - Inside IR35)**

**Summary of the Quantity Surveyor role:
My client is currently looking for 2 Quantity Surveyors to join their growing team, on a long term contract basis, located in Windsor on a Thames Water Utilities project.

**Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:
- Provide a leading role to support the projects and the programme with commercial information and advice ensuring compliance with governance
- Providing a positive commercial influence on the strategy, behaviours, and delivery of the operational activities
- Cost reporting - assessing value to date, supply chain valuations and forward forecasting to completion
- Production, management and communication of the periodic CVR documentation
- Driving risk and change management, mentoring the wider project teams as part of this.
- Support with pre and post contract procurement activities as appropriate
- Estimating and cost planning for new projects/elements of work as they arise
- Production of contractual correspondence and leading on record keeping processes and behaviours
- Claims Management
- Awareness of the estimating process and budget control
- Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations

**Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree qualified in a commercial discipline OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience within similar positions
- Experience working on highways schemes
- Experience with the following:

- Strong Contractual Knowledge
- Auditing experience desirable
- Dispute resolution
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Subcontract package management and commercial administration
- Knowledge of highways and utilities services desirable
- Preferably achieved or working towards MRICS or equivalent
