We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual of a similar age to support a bright, articulate, and cheerful gentleman in his 30s. He has a complex physical disability and relies on his wheelchair for mobility.
**This is a fantastic opportunity that fits seamlessly around nursery and school hours, supporting a balanced approach to work and family life.**
**Role Details**:
- **Flexible Hours**: 18 hours per week available.
- **Start Date**: Immediate/flexible
- **Schedule 1 (18 hrs/week)**_
- Wednesdays: 9:00 AM **to** 16:30 PM
- Fridays: 9:00 AM **to** 16:30 PM
- Sundays: 14:00 PM **to** 20:00 PM **(only twice per month)**
**Schedule 2 (18 hrs/week)**
- Mondays: 9:00 AM **to** 15:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 9:00 AM **to** 15:00 PM
- Fridays: 9:00 AM **to** 15:00 PM
**Schedule 3 (18 hrs/week)**
- Wednesdays: 9:00 AM **to** 15:00 PM
- Fridays: 9:00 AM **to** 15:00 PM
- Sundays: 14:00 **to** 20:00 PM **(6 hours-once per week)**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Promote independence and build confidence
- Establish a steady routine to maintain stability and reliability
- Transport the service user in a specially adapted (automatic) vehicle
- Accompany to essential medical appointments
- Provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, and dressing
- Assist with household tasks and running errands
**Requirements**:
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check (provided)
- Clean UK driving licence, medically fit and safe to drive
- A genuine passion for driving.
- Physically fit and the ability to sustain an active daily routine
- Professionalism, care, patience, courtesy, reliability, dedication, common sense, organisational skills, and practical decision-making

**Work Environment**:
You’ll be working in a calm, clean, and safe property environment where the service user lives with his mother. His main carer provides her support at different times.
**Applicants must reside within a 12-mile radius of Accrington. This includes nearby areas such as Blackburn, Rossendale, and surrounding areas.**
