JOB PLACEMENT SUMMARY

UK Year of Service is an employability support programme that supports People to secure paid work, which is also underpinned and complimented by additional training/development opportunities. The programme offers people the opportunity to put their skills and beliefs to work and the chance to make a difference to communities across the country.

This role has been created in partnership with Force of Nature and Catch22/UK Year of Service programme. Force of Nature have secured this paid employment opportunity to work for them and will be your host organisation.

WHO ARE FORCE OF NATURE?

Force of Nature started with a simple realisation: that the threat even greater than the climate crisis is how powerless we feel in the face of it. Strong emotions in the face of climate change are a normal, rational response to the crisis; but they can shut us down when we tip into despair and denialism.

We recognise a need for a global community of activated individuals, who aren’t scared to talk about how climate change makes them feel. Young people who are rewriting their climate stories to be ones of hope and resilience; and decision-makers giving us a seat at the table.

We called for a revolution in mindset. Now, a year in, we’re reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve taken - and all of the friends we’ve found along the way.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

As Partnerships Intern you will work most closely with our Partnerships Director, Kat. You will be responsible for the administrative coordination of business partnerships at Force of Nature.

To fulfil this role, it’s important that you are detail-orientated and good at managing priorities to meet deadlines. - Manage scheduling and admin for seamless delivery of the engagement(s)

As Force of Nature grows, the needs of this role may adapt. This is why we’re looking for someone keen to take on evolving responsibilities, who is self-directed and will thrive in our start-up culture. This role will enable Force of Nature to scale our programmes and impact; all paid-for business engagements directly fund our free and subsidised programmes with young people.
