**HR Officer - East Yorkshire**
We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our client a growing Manufacturing business with sites across East Yorkshire.
**About the role**
The HR Officer will play a critical role in supporting the company’s people agenda across multiple sites. This includes handling day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment law, supporting managers with employee relations, and contributing to workforce planning and development. The role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to drive employee engagement and operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities as HR Officer**:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Advise and support managers on ER issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management.
- Conduct investigations, take notes during hearings, and ensure legal and procedural compliance.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines to meet the organization’s needs.
- Ensure new hires receive a comprehensive induction to integrate into the company effectively.
- Identify training needs in collaboration with line managers and arrange development opportunities.
- Track mandatory training compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using HR systems.
- Prepare and process documentation related to contracts, benefits, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives
- Participate in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) activities and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
**Qualifications and Skills as HR Officer**:
**Essential**:
- Proven experience in an HR generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of health and safety requirements in manufacturing environments.
- Full UK Driving Licence, the role will require travel to manufacturing sites around East Yorkshire.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:
- HR Officer: 3 years (preferred)
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (required)
