**Your New Role**

Are you an experienced Technical minded professional? Do you have strong Engineering experience? Survitec has the perfect role for you

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, our Aerospace and Defence division have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Technical Author on a permanent basis at our Ellesmere Port Site

You, as our Technical Author will write technical documentation for engineers and manuals for technical and non-technical customers and end-users. You will create documentation for a range of products, services and systems for target audiences with varying degrees of technical sophistication, that meet commercial, operational and regulatory requirements.

**What You Can Expect from the Role**

**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Support the collection of business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly
- Assign short-term work schedules to workload to achieve expectations of a range of stakeholders and internal customers
- Create, manage and utilise effectively a local document management system for an office or department
- Draft and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, ensuring appropriate and effective use of language and on-time delivery. Create appropriate backup files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur
- Support data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
- Review non-compliance issues and finds solutions to ad hoc problems with written product materials, requiring detailed work with design engineers, internal customers and, potentially, external customers

**Skills**

**Essential**
- 1 + years general experience demonstrating sound understanding of straightforward procedures or systems and the ability to manage own workload
- Educated to High School standard with 2 A levels, or University degree level

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Ellesmere Port, Cheshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
