The Business

This organisation is a medium-sized firm, operating in a boutique sector of the construction marketplace. With a fantastic reputation and also a family-oriented culture, this is a business that has grown over the last 4 decades and seeks the support andskills of a qualified Finance professional to assume responsibility for all financial matters within the organisation.

The Role

As a growing business, the firm is now in a position to look at the strategic direction and value add of Finance in the short and long term. This role will be tasked with full financial reporting responsibility including all period-end reporting, financialand management accounts and reporting, board pack creation and presentation, CIS reporting, tax/VAT returns, and the management of a small finance team.

It is also expected that you will be able to drive efficiencies and effective processes within the Finance function, looking at processes, automation, current ERP systems, and how to drive best practice and speed without losing the ability to provide timely,accurate, and relevant MI.

This is certainly a developmental role and it's expected that the post will evolve into a Finance Director position with a superstar at the helm.

The Person

You will be a qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CGMA) with recent proven experience within the construction sector (CIS et al), and be at a suitable level of seniority (Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Financial Controller) to easily move intothis post. Your experience will demonstrate effective capability regarding the full 360 of financial reporting and again, ideally have small team management or line management experience. You will be able to demonstrate business partnering skills, integratingwith the operational areas of the business to drive effective finance processes and understanding from board level to junior staff.

The Reward

On offer is a salary of up to £70,000 plus associated benefits and will allow for a hybrid work pattern also
