Glover Road Haulage is a family business, operating from its base near Downham Market and we have a great opportunity to join our friendly team.
Our company operates a fleet of eight trucks/trailers which cover a range of Bulker, Curtainsider and Wagon and Drag working operations.
Duties will include;
Ability to plan the vehicles efficiently with brand new and existing customers, ensuring all operations are within the WTD and Statutory legislation, whilst maximising efficiency, this will be to regular but also ad-hoc works. Regular programming of planned/preventative maintenance checks so operations are not affected.
Regular liaison with drivers, providing clear instruction of works and planning in advance, assisting drivers with unforeseen circumstances such as breakdowns and delivery issues.
Understanding legislation and completing paperwork with regard to Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive, Maintenance Inspections, Gate Checks, tacho reviews and vehicle tracker checks.
Monitoring and checking loads and locations visited in conjunction with hours and tacho.
General office administration.
Excellent communication skills are required (written and verbal) with a strong customer service and driver methodology.
Flexibility in working hours will be required due to the demands of the business.
