**Are you an experienced Payroll Officer with knowledge of managing hourly paid and salaried employees? Have you worked in a UK based standalone role?**

**If the answer is yes - then look no further as Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a **Payroll Officer **based at our site in Folkestone, Kent.**

The **Payroll Officer **is responsible for ensuring all UK employees are paid accurately and on-time, working closely with the HR and Finance team to manage the data and respond to queries. As a stand-alone role, you will manage the payroll via our outsourced payroll provider, and also manage our Time and Attendance system.

This role is the first point of contact for pay related queries, so you will have a professional approach to resolving questions and providing guidance on policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the UK outsourced Payroll system
- Arranging the payment of staff salaries, all monthly paid, c400 employees, through the outsourced payroll and to action any other non-regular payments as required
- This will involve the checking of all relevant information for the monthly payroll (including new starters, leavers, benefits, contract changes, and sickness absence payments, maternity and paternity pay).
- Ownership of the Time and Attendance system (currently Workforce) to capture overtime, absences anomalies etc to reconcile for payment.
- To administer Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay and Shared parental leave as required.
- To complete necessary third-party documentation arising from payroll information requests from external agencies, e.g. HMRC, insurance claims etc.
- To assist in the administration of benefits schemes including but not limited to the auto enrolment pension plan, childcare voucher scheme, salary and bonus exchange, car allowances.
- Deal with payroll related enquiries to conclusion ensuring a high level of customer care and service delivery from both within the HR function or externally across the business.
- To comply with employment and payroll legislation. Ensure that any legislation changes impacting pay and payroll processing are managed and communicated effectively
- Build a close working relationship with the Finance Department and liaise with respect of provision of journals, month end data and other reports as requested.
- Extensive experience of standalone Payroll Officer level role within a salaried and hourly paid workforce
- Knowledge of pension/auto-enrolment administration
- Extensive and up to date UK Payroll knowledge
- Knowledge of Time & Attendance systems, including data management and user administration
- Experience and knowledge of HR processes (primarily recruitment, onboarding and employee relations) would be an advantage
- Strong level of Excel (confident with data manipulation, vlookups etc) and Access
- Good verbal and written communication and Numeracy
- Flexible and proactive approach to work, able to adapt to changing priorities
