**Job Title**:HR Officer (Option to WFH) **Location**: Folkestone - Flexibility for ad hoc home working but the HR team are onsite most of the time to support the production team **Salary**:Call us on to discuss or message me on Linkedin for full details **Company**:A global manufacturing company **The Team**: A small HR team of 4 including Payroll to cover 410 employees so our client would like to recruit someone who would be flexible to cover the full range of HR duties (exciting and also basic admin) **Hours**:Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4:30pm **Incredible benefits**: - 24 days annual leave (you can buy/sell 2 days per year) plus 8 bank holidays - 4% discretionary company performance related annual bonus - Up to 9% matched contribution pension scheme - Health cash plan with healthshield - 50% working from home and 50% working in the office **Responsibilities as the HR Officer**: **HRIS and Payroll** - To actively utilise and ensure integrity of data within the HR databases currently Workforce, Workday and hard files at all times. - Ensure Payroll function is in receipt of all relevant information in a timely manner in order to run the monthly payroll. - Creation and issuing employee change letters e.g. salary, shift, job title in conjunction with the HRM **Staffing and Recruitment** - To manage the recruitment and induction process up to Senior Management level ensuring the recruitment of the best possible talent to further develop and grow the business. - To oversee and action internal changes as required, including promotions and cross functional changes. - Ensure personal files (hard and electronic files) are accurate a - Along with the HR team to conduct Exit interviews as required and ensure records are maintained and trends identified that can be addressed. **Employee Welfare** - Liaison with the company's Occupational Health service to ensure appropriate H&S and welfare considerations are in place and maintained on an ongoing basis. - To ensure the timely and effective feedback to line management following referrals and to identify potential trends and advise the HRM in respect of management issues which require addressing in a timely manner. - To work with the HR Team to identify and deliver suitable employee well being programmes to the workforce. **Policies and Procedures** - Along with the HR team to manage Flexible working requests, Jury Service, Maternity & Paternity, Absence management, Time and Attendance processes although this list is not exhaustive. - For Absence Management, to maintain low levels of absence by advising and coaching Management of correct policy **Reward and benefits** - To work with the HR Team as required to deliver actions resulting from compensation & benefits initiatives both local and Corporate. - Back up to the HR Intern for the administration for Long Service awards. **Performance Management** - Provide an advisory role and support employees and Line Management in the performance management of their staff whether this is a development need or to manage the individual out of the business. - To ensure the HRM/HRD is kept aware of any performance issues with individuals which may lead to the introduction of a personal improvement plan or dismissal. **Employee Development** - To work in conjunction with the HRD/HRM in developing and rolling out employee learning and development activities to further develop the UK workforce. - To manage and deliver training including **Health & Safety** - To ensure oneself is aware of, understands and follows all Company Health & Safety instructions - accident/incident reporting, first aid etc. - To report any accidents or near misses to the Health, Safety and Environment Officer. - To provide management data as requested for insurance purposes regarding employee liability claims and hours worked reporting. - Have previous experience as an HR Officer - Ideally have a logistics/manufacturing background, the employees are about 50% salaried and 50% hourly paid so there's a need to be able to adapt communication/working styles to suit both groups - Be "digitally savvy" and comfortable with IT, particularly, the HR system (workday), the T&A system (workforce) and SAP **Next steps**: Office Angels acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
