Reconciliation Administrator

My financial services client based in Liverpool requires an additional member of staff for a reconciliation team. This is a perm role based in their Liverpool office (2 days from home) and paying up to £23K.

This team is responsible for all of the company’s cash or security position reconciliations. Oversees all aspects of reconciliation, including system administration, testing and troubleshooting issues related to the reconciliation process.
Performs more in-depth analysis of reconciliations, deciphering more complex exceptions and processing client accounts.
- Record and reconcile accounts using the in-house reconciliation system in line with regulations.
- Build strong and detailed System and Process knowledge in order to resolve complex reconciliation issues over all streams of reconciliations.
- Assists Lead representative in order to meet multiple, high pressure deadlines.
- Ensures all external statements have been received and formatted for the reconciliation system as required.
- Ensures completion of various Manual Reconciliations which are performed daily.
- Reviews and publishes Client reporting showing excellent attention to detail and foresight.
- Works closely internal teams to provide excellent client service
- Builds and maintains good relationships with various external Custodian, Agent Bank and Fund Managers who provide data for reconciliation.
- Fosters good internal relationships to ensure that issues are dealt with timely and accurately.
- Proficient with formulas, Lookups and Pivot tables in Excel to perform manual reconciliation and reporting.
- Identifies differences and discrepancies in reconciliations and resolves or escalates appropriately.
- Monitors resolution of breaks and challenges and escalates when necessary.
- Resolving client queries when required.
- Assist Manager in exceeding KPI targets set for whole team.
- Cross trains other team members as required to ensure full task coverage.
- Demonstrates Risk Management awareness and escalates accordingly.
- Understands and monitors the department operational controls and escalates any discrepancies.
- Provides some administration functions such as Mailbox management & data collation.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes.
- Positively adapts to change in Systems or processes.
- Any other duties as required
