This role will join the Capacity Planning & Design team to help Vodafone UK to achieve the best network status though adequate transmission and radio access network dimensioning, design and network transformation based on strategy inputs, digital transformation and processes improvements.

Your focus will be to lead and execute tasks and projects within Capacity Planning & Design team, manage suppliers / partners and to get the best performance for our customers, drive improvements in way we do things.

**What will you be doing?**
- Responsible for ensuring optimal dimensioning of the Access TX and RAN network capacity requirements, within given budget limitations.
- Working with third party suppliers and internal digital team to ensure our capacity/congestion monitoring platforms are maintained and running efficiently.
- Ensure Capacity Planning processes are efficient as possible and utilise best practices from across the Vodafone UK as defined by the Strategy teams.
- Leading improvement initiatives and special focus projects for problem areas within capacity planning and network transformation.
- Provide support to Optimisation and Design teams in order to test impact on RAN and TX network changes and troubleshoot underperforming customer services.
- Provide regular updates to inform all and enable agreements.

**Who are we looking for?**
- A strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G Radio access network technology.
- Strong digital and automation skills.
- Processes improvement and wider team support experience.
- An understanding of IP/MPLS transmission networks (minimum of CCNA level knowledge or equivalent).
- An understanding of microwave principles: topologies, modulations and basic configuration.
- An understanding of Core technologies.
- A strong understanding of VMware based platforms management, linux environments and programming languages (python, SQL) in order to support and maintain our Accedian and VIAVI performance monitoring platforms.
