We are delighted to offer a full-time opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist at Band 5 within the Step 4 County South team, in Nottingham Adult Mental Health Directorate.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our group of clinical and counselling psychologists, working in the Step 4 County South Service. The Step 4 County South service delivers psychological therapy to people who experience a variety of mental health difficulties, including complex trauma, depression, anxiety, and co-morbid physical health conditions. We have a long
- and well-established history working with hard-to-reach groups. We have an excellent working relationship with local GPs and the third sector. We are always keen to find innovative and forward-thinking ways of working to support the delivery of psychological work in Nottinghamshire. Working with partners across sectors.
Main duties of the job
**We see the role of the Step 4 assistant psychologist as**:
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service; developing brief interventions and providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions (individual and group work) under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist; working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist.
To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, and training and project work.

We support individual therapy work, through supervision with experienced colleagues in a range of therapy models, case discussion with the wider Step 4 team and support further training.
