Female Personal Care Assistant required to assist a housebound elderly lady living in Lanark. There is no requirement for transport as position is easily walkable from bus/train stations and into town/supermarkets.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Carers visit 3/4 times a day. You would be required to assist them with personal care, bed changes etc.
- Outside these times you would be required to deal with any other personal care issues which may arise.
- Household shopping and collection of prescriptions
- Daily liaising with daughter (working full time) to keep her updated on her mum’s condition.
- Preparation of meals and drinks. Client is currently on a soft diet.
- Daily washing and cleaning as required.

Experience in a caring role with the elderly is required. The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for 1 position to cover 6 to 7 days per fortnight of a jobshare with 1 other PA.

**Days and times**:Jobshare covering7 Days a week on a rota, 8 hours duty between 7am and 7pm, to be discussed. Occasional additional cover for sickness/holidays.

**Hourly rate**: £12.00 per hour
