Female Personal Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a vulnerable woman with Learning Disabilities living in the Carstairs area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, and in the community including attending to participation in social activities and possible personal care.
- Attending personal care in the form of changing colostomy bag on occasion

Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Line dancing, swimming, playing pool, board games, drawing and jigsaws
- Encourage conversation
- Going out to lunch
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for one positions.

Guaranteed permanent position of 12 hours per week

**Days and times**:
12 hours per week to be worked over 2 or 3 days

**Hourly rate**:
£10.90 per hour

Take Control is part of Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living (GCIL), which is an established Disabled People's Organisation, with many years of experience assisting people to maximise their preferred support needs._

- Driving Licence (preferred)
