A global law firm in London are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join their Global Professional Development ('PD’) team.

The position will serve as point person for the Firm’s practice of law and business & professional skills training, coaching and mentoring programmes for London-based people.

The L&D Manager will be able to bring their experience of developing, facilitating and executing L&D programmes, and supporting lawyers with continuing education, to this highly visible role in which they will collaborate closely with partners, the globalPD Committee, London Training Partners, and fellow talent professionals to produce market-leading learning experiences.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Developing relationships, and meeting regularly, with London Office practice group training partners, PSLs and associate advisors, to plan and produce regular training programmes.
- Planning and producing the London office business and professional skills programmes including a learning and coaching programme for mid level and junior London based Associates and the trainee induction.
- Advising and supporting the global Professional Development team with communications and implementation of global programmes,
- Collaborating with PD team members in the U.S. and Asia to cross-promote learning content.
- Overseeing the local implementation of L&D programmes and resources that form part of the firms global Business Services learning offering, including business skills programmes for all business services professionals and for those in leadership and managementroles.
- Overseeing the local implementation of the Firm’s mentoring programmes
- Managing the relationship with local legal/bar exam training providers
- Facilitating internal focus groups, compiling and analysing feedback,
- Developing and managing external learning and coaching vendor relationships, including managing presentation preparation, logistics, contracts and invoices.
- In collaboration with the PD Director, creating and managing the annual London L&D budget.
- Line-management for, and development of, the London-based PD Administrator.

**Skills & Experience**:

- A minimum of five years’ relevant work experience in L&D,
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, building effective working relationships and using personal networks.
- Strong presentation skills. Experience of training delivery and/or programme facilitation would be desirable.
- Familiarity with Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) qualification and continuing competence requirements
- An executive or career coaching qualification and experience would be helpful.

Salary between £70,000 and £80,000 depending on experience.

The firm offers agile working where they typically work 3 days a week in the office.
