Learning Mentor Pay: £(Apply online only) per day Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 | Contract: Long-term with potential to go permanent Empowering Learning are seeking a Learning Mentor to join a secondary school in East London, supporting students with behaviour, SEN, SEM providing targeted interventions to help improve progress, engagement and development. This Learning Mentor role will involve working 1:1, running small-group interventions, offering behaviour coaching and supporting students across KS3, KS4 and KS5. You'll play a key part in improving behaviour, attendance and classroom routines so students can access their full curriculum and maintain steady progression. What's on offer Paid to scale (Inner/Outer/Fringe) Permanent salary or daily rate equivalent Long-term role with potential to go permanent Strong CPD, pastoral training and development pathways Supportive leadership and safeguarding teams Key responsibilities Deliver behaviour, SEN and SEMH support across the school Run academic and pastoral interventions to improve attainment and engagement Support students 1:1 and in small groups during lessons or structured sessions Work closely with pastoral, behaviour and SEN teams Help students routines, expectations and challenges Support learning across the full curriculum, encouraging positive progression What the school are looking for Experience in behaviour support, mentoring, youth work, SEN or SEMH Confident behaviour management and the ability to build trust quickly Clear communication and strong organisational skills Someone who wants to support student development and long‑term progression A calm, reliable presence who can work well with staff, families and outside agencies If you're ready to make an impact as a Learning Mentor, supporting behaviour, SEN needs and targeted interventions, send your CV to Brad at Empowering Learning.
