Be employed# Learning & Development Manager£50K-£60K Basic Salary* Ref: 3867* Permanent* Greater London## An exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Manager to shape and deliver impactful learning strategies within a growing organisation. This role focuses on building future capabilities, developing clear career pathways, leading apprenticeship programmes, and embedding a strong learning culture across the business. You will design and deliver engaging programmes, partner with stakeholders across functions, and play a key role in succession planning and talent development.This job aligns to the LPI’s Capability Map### Responsibilities* Design and deliver training programmes to address capability gaps across the organisation.* Lead and expand the apprenticeship programme, ensuring alignment with operational needs and industry standards.* Develop clear career and development pathways from entry level through to senior leadership.* Implement and manage a skills matrix to track progression and identify opportunities for growth.* Deliver leadership and people-management training for both emerging and established leaders.* Support succession planning and nurture talent pipelines across the business.* Oversee the delivery of blended learning solutions (on-the-job, classroom, and digital).* Champion digital learning tools and manage the Learning Management System (LMS).* Ensure compliance training requirements are met and manage L&D trainers to deliver legally compliant learning.* Partner with operational and people teams to promote and embed a learning culture across the business.### Skills* Strong design and facilitation skills across multiple learning formats.* Ability to build development frameworks and progression pathways.* Skilled in using and promoting digital learning tools and LMS platforms.* Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels.* Organisational and project management skills to deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.### Experience* 2-3 years experience in an LD Manager role or similar.* Experience leading apprenticeship programmes and working with industry standards.* Track record in designing and implementing learning frameworks, including skills matrices and career pathways.* Experience delivering leadership and management development programmes.* Previous experience managing compliance training and digital learning platforms.* Demonstrated success in embedding a learning culture and supporting succession planning.### Education* Relevant LD or HR qualification CIPD, Learning Development certifications, or equivalent preferred.* Coaching or facilitation qualifications are advantageous.---### The LPI Capability MapIt may help your application for this job if you submit your , in addition to your CV.Find out how the LPI’s Capability Map can help you land exactly the right job.---#### Strategy and operations##### Develop L&D capability*4 – Strategic*Keeping L&D’s capabilities current and future-ready.##### L&D strategy*4 – Strategic*Aligning the learning strategy with the business strategy, planning to move the business forward and guiding execution of L&D tactics in line with strategy.##### Manage and improve L&D processes*4 – Strategic*Managing L&D business processes and their continuous improvement.##### Manage L&D resources*4 – Strategic*Ensuring adequate capacity, availability and optimal utilisation of people, facilities and equipment to meet current and future organisational learning requirements and provide a seamless end-to-end customer experience.##### Manage technology for learning*4 – Strategic*Working with others to manage the technology strategy, roadmap and tools used to enable the individual and organisational learning and performance needs of today – and the innovations of tomorrow.------### Your recruiter### Katie BeckKatie connects clients with top L&D, eLearning, and training professionals.Committed to building lasting relationships, Katie makes recruitment seamless, collaborative, and successful.
