Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a **Transport Planner** for our new distribution hub based in **Edinburgh (Craigentinny),** who's as passionate about great service as we are

- **Working Hours**:_ _These will operate on a shift rotation of 5:30am-3pm Mon-Fri and 10:30am-8pm Mon-Fri, and every 2nd Sat 8am-12pm_
- **Location**_: 58 Craigentinny Avenue North, Edinburgh, EH6 7LJ_
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Plan and coordinate transport operations alongside the on-site Transport Manager to meet customer demands
- Communicate effectively and facilitate good working relationships with drivers, suppliers, and customers
- Utilise Excel and Word to create transport schedules and reports and manage associated administrative tasks
- Manage logistics, including route planning and vehicle allocation
- Drive continuous improvement in transport processes
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies

- Logistic and transport planning experience with awareness of Transport Legislation
- An understanding of building materials would be desirable
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
- Strong IT skills and regional geographic knowledge
