**The Role**

The Defence Policy Adviser plays a key role in representing and supporting the UKs defence industry. Managing critical policy issues and communicating industry positions to Government, this role helps to establish defence policy priorities and ensures they are supported by a strong evidential base.

The Defence Policy Adviser leads policy research, development, and communication on defence matters; supports ADS Defence Committees; and participates in and supports Joint Industry/MoD Committees. Working across ADS teams, they will provide timely analysis and advice to senior ADS colleagues and member companies on the industrial contribution of UK Defence.

Reporting to the Director of Policy, you will proactively identify and shape key defence policy issues in the interests of ADS Members.

You will lead all ongoing defence policy work, notably on the Integrated Review and Defence and Security Industrial Strategy.
