About the job

**Summary**:
We are looking for curious and flexible strategy advisers to help us drive change, robust strategy, and more effective performance across the Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a wide range of high profile issues, whilst being supported to develop in a friendly and exciting environment.

We have created the Strategy Implementation and Evaluation team to sit at the heart of Defence’s new Strategic Hub and support the recently appointed Director General of Delivery and Strategy in focusing senior time on the issues most critical to the delivery of the Integrated Review and Defence Command paper. We support senior decision makers to run the complex business of Defence by building a picture and making recommendations on how the Department can deliver more effectively.

These roles provide a unique opportunity to be part of something new and have exposure to strategy, delivery, and decision-making across the MOD, with great development opportunities. We are looking for individuals able to work collaboratively and creatively across multiple areas of responsibility to deliver for the team for the team and Department.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week

**Job description**:

- Build relationships with our key partners across the Department to support the development and implementation of our new Strategic Cycle
- Own development of key products to support our evaluation, analysis, and assurance work within and beyond Defence, including with the National Security Adviser.
- Support development of the new business intelligence function to provide senior decision makers with the best possible evidence and information.
- Work flexibly across the team and wider Strategic Hub to support emerging priorities.
