**Part time (24hrs)**

**Role Profile**
This role will cover 3 hotels in the Greater Manchester Area travelling amongst all 3 properties.
Ailantus Hotels are a North of England based, family owned company who boast 7 properties within their portfolio. They are across the North East of England, the North West and West Yorkshire.
The HR Assistant will take a proactive approach in supporting on a wide and varied range of HR matters.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support on various employee relations matters by advising on employment legislation, Ailantus policies and procedures and assisting in meetings where required.
- Provide advice and recommendations in relation to absence management both short-term and long-term cases, including occupational health referrals/intervention.
- Provide support and guidance on disciplinary and grievance issues in line with company policy and escalate matters to a senior team member where required.
- Support line managers effectively manage and enhance team member performance and encourage a high-performance culture.
- Complete any necessary HR administration and HR system changes, as well as acting as a system ‘super user’ to line managers and the wider business.
- Proactively encourage team members to use the HR system as a source on HR policy and guidelines.
- Process new starters, leavers and employment changes efficiently on the HR system.
- Manage day to day HR queries through various channels
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job advertisement to formal offer.
- Driving local recruitment plans and activity including high volume recruitment campaigns.
- Drive own personal development and keep well-informed of latest changes and updates in employment law and HR best practice.

- HR Generalist experience
- Employee relations experience
- Knowledge of current employment law and legislation

**Skills Required**:
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to articulate ideas to employees and management at all levels in a clear, concise manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple work streams/tasks.
- Ability to plan effectively and prioritise own workload.
- Ability to build good working relationships at all levels.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with the wider HR team.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Full Clean Driving licence.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £11.00 per hour
